Ingredients

Russian Dressing

  • ½ cup (115g) mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup (80g) sour cream (or simply use all mayonnaise)
  • 2 Tbsp (34g) ketchup
  • 2 Tbsp (30g) dill pickle relish or sweet pickle relish
  • 2 Tbsp minced white onion, from ¼ small white onion
  • 1 Tbsp (15g) jarred horseradish
  • 1 Tbsp (15g) fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp yellow mustard
  • ¼ tsp kosher salt

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: In a medium bowl, add ½ cup mayonnaise, ¼ cup sour cream, 2 tablespoons ketchup, 2 tablespoons dill or sweet pickle relish, 2 tablespoons minced white onion, 1 tablespoon jarred horseradish, 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice, 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce, 1 teaspoon yellow mustard, and ¼ teaspoon kosher salt.
  2. Mix Thoroughly: Stir all the ingredients well until the dressing is smooth and evenly blended.
  3. Refrigerate: Cover and refrigerate the dressing until ready to use. Chilling for a few hours will allow the flavors to meld and develop a better taste.

Notes

  • Make-ahead: Prepare the dressing ahead of time and store in the refrigerator for up to one week for enhanced flavor.
  • Storage: Keep the dressing in an airtight container in the fridge. Stir before serving as separation may occur.
  • Freezing is not recommended as it may affect texture and flavor.
