This Vegan Spinach Artichoke Dip is a creamy, flavorful appetizer perfect for plant-based diets. Made with vegan cream cheese, mayo, fresh spinach, and artichoke hearts, it’s seasoned with garlic, nutritional yeast, and spices, then baked until hot and bubbly. Ideal for parties, snacks, or gatherings, it delivers a rich, cheesy flavor without any dairy.

Ingredients

Vegetables and Aromatics

  • 3 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 10 ounces fresh baby spinach
  • 1 (14-ounce) can artichoke hearts, drained and chopped

Dairy Alternatives and Seasonings

  • 16 ounces vegan cream cheese, room temperature
  • ⅓ cup vegan mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup nutritional yeast (or vegan parmesan)
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Other

  • 1 teaspoon oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Set your oven to 400°F (200°C) to prepare for baking the dip later.
  2. Sauté Garlic and Spinach: Heat the oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the chopped garlic and sauté until it’s lightly browned and fragrant, about 2 minutes. Add the fresh baby spinach and cook, stirring, until it’s wilted. Remove the pan from heat.
  3. Combine Ingredients: In a baking dish, mix together the vegan cream cheese, vegan mayo, chopped artichoke hearts, nutritional yeast, sautéed spinach and garlic, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
  4. Bake the Dip: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the dip is hot and bubbling around the edges.
  5. Serve Warm: Remove from the oven and serve immediately with your favorite crackers, bread, or veggie sticks for dipping.

Notes

  • Use vegan parmesan as a substitute for nutritional yeast if desired.
  • Make sure the vegan cream cheese is at room temperature for easier mixing.
  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of smoked paprika or red pepper flakes.
  • This dip can be prepared ahead of time and baked just before serving.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated gently.
