This Vanilla Chai Latte is a cozy and comforting beverage featuring spiced chai tea combined with creamy cashew milk, sweetened with maple syrup, and enhanced with fragrant vanilla bean paste and cinnamon. Perfect for warming up on a chilly day or enjoying as a flavorful afternoon treat.

Ingredients

Tea Base

  • 1 bag chai tea
  • ½ cup hot water

Milk Mixture

  • ¾ cup cashew milk (or any milk of your preference)
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup or honey

Flavorings & Toppings

  • ½ teaspoon vanilla bean paste
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Steep the Tea: Place the chai tea bag into the ½ cup of hot water and let it steep for 5 minutes to extract the rich flavors and spices.
  2. Warm the Milk and Sweetener: While the tea steeps, pour the cashew milk and maple syrup into a small saucepan. Heat gently over medium-low heat until it reaches a gentle simmer, stirring occasionally to combine the flavors. Alternatively, warm the milk and syrup in the microwave until hot but not boiling.
  3. Blend to Froth: Remove the tea bag from the steeped tea. Combine the warmed milk and maple syrup, the brewed tea, and vanilla bean paste in a blender. Blend on high speed for about 1 minute until the mixture becomes frothy and creamy.
  4. Serve and Garnish: Pour the frothy vanilla chai latte into a mug and finish by sprinkling ground cinnamon on top for a warm aromatic touch. Enjoy immediately.

Notes

  • You can substitute cashew milk with almond, oat, or dairy milk based on your preference.
  • Honey can be used in place of maple syrup for sweetening if desired.
  • Use vanilla bean paste for the best authentic vanilla flavor; vanilla extract may be substituted if necessary.
  • For a vegan version, ensure the sweetener used is plant-based, like maple syrup.
  • To make it iced, allow the latte to cool and serve over ice.
