This Quick and Easy Crepe Recipe offers a simple and delicious way to make delicate, thin French-style crepes using a blender. Perfect for breakfast or dessert, these crepes are light, versatile, and ready in just 25 minutes. Top with Nutella and fresh fruits for a delightful treat that the whole family will love.

Ingredients

Crepe Batter

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 2/3 cup (200g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup (200 ml) milk
  • 1 cup (200 ml) mineral water
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp salt

Toppings

  • Nutella
  • Fresh fruits (such as sliced strawberries, bananas, or blueberries)

Instructions

  1. Blend Ingredients: Add all the crepe batter ingredients—eggs, flour, milk, mineral water, vegetable oil, and salt—into a blender. Blend until the mixture is completely smooth. Allow the batter to rest for 5 minutes to ensure optimal texture.
  2. Prepare the Pan: While the batter rests, heat a non-stick or crepe pan over medium-high heat. Dip a paper towel in vegetable oil and lightly grease the pan surface. Repeat this oiling process before cooking each crepe to prevent sticking.
  3. Cook the Crepes: Once the pan is hot, pour approximately 1/4 cup of batter into the pan. Immediately swirl the pan to spread the batter evenly into a thin layer. Cook until the crepe’s top surface is no longer wet and the underside turns light brown, which usually takes 1 to 2 minutes.
  4. Flip the Crepe: Use a spatula to gently loosen the edges of the crepe, then flip it over carefully. Cook the second side for about 1 minute, until it also achieves a light brown color.
  5. Serve: Transfer the cooked crepes to a plate and keep them warm. Continue cooking the remaining batter following the same steps.
  6. Add Toppings: Serve the crepes hot, topped with your favorite spreads and fresh fruits. Nutella and assorted fresh fruits are highly recommended to enhance the flavor.

Notes

  • Resting the batter allows the flour to fully hydrate, resulting in more tender crepes.
  • Using mineral water helps create lighter, airier crepes due to the carbonation.
  • If you don’t have mineral water, you can substitute with plain water, but texture may vary slightly.
  • Keep cooked crepes warm by stacking them on a plate and covering with foil or a clean kitchen towel.
  • For dairy-free crepes, substitute milk with any plant-based milk such as almond or oat milk.
