Perfect for quick homemade sweets, this no-bake fudge sets in the fridge and can be customized with your favorite chopped nuts for added texture and flavor. It's easy to make and serves 16, making it ideal for parties or a delightful snack.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 12 ounces dark chocolate chips (1 bag)
  • 12 ounces Nutella (a heaping 1 cup)
  • Optional: 1 cup chopped nuts (walnuts, pecans, hazelnuts)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the pan: Line a 1-quart dish or a 9x9 inch square pan with parchment paper to ensure the fudge doesn't stick and can be removed easily once set.
  2. Combine ingredients: In a medium mixing bowl, add the Nutella and dark chocolate chips.
  3. Microwave melting: Microwave the mixture on high for 1 minute. Remove and stir to begin melting the chocolate chips evenly. Then microwave for an additional 1 minute. Stir thoroughly until the mixture is completely smooth and the chocolate chips are fully melted.
  4. Add nuts (optional): If using chopped nuts, fold half of them into the melted fudge mixture, incorporating them evenly.
  5. Pour and spread: Transfer the fudge mixture into the prepared dish. Spread it evenly with a spatula or the back of a spoon.
  6. Top with nuts (optional): Sprinkle the remaining chopped nuts evenly over the top of the fudge for extra crunch and visual appeal.
  7. Chill to set: Refrigerate the fudge for 1 hour or until firm enough to cut.
  8. Cut and serve: Once set, cut the fudge into 16 squares. Store any leftovers in the refrigerator to maintain freshness.

Notes

  • Using parchment paper makes it easier to remove the fudge from the pan without sticking.
  • You can substitute dark chocolate chips with semi-sweet chocolate chips if preferred.
  • The nuts are optional but add a nice texture and nuttiness to the fudge.
  • Store fudge in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week.
  • For a smoother texture, stir the fudge vigorously after melting to ensure all chocolate chips melt evenly.
