Lemon Mint Juice, also known as Lebanese Lemonana, is a refreshing and vibrant beverage made with fresh lemons, lime, mint leaves, and sweetened naturally with maple syrup. This invigorating drink is perfect for hot days or anytime you crave a zesty, cooling refreshment with a subtle floral hint from orange blossom water.

Ingredients

Juice Ingredients

  • 2 medium Lemons, roughly chopped with skin
  • 1 medium Lime, roughly chopped with skin
  • ¼ cup Fresh Mint leaves
  • ½ cup Maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon Orange Blossom Water (optional)
  • 3-4 cups Cold water
  • Ice cubes, as needed

Instructions

  1. Blend: Place the chopped lemons, lime, fresh mint leaves, maple syrup, orange blossom water (if using), and 3 cups of cold water into a blender. Add ice cubes if desired for extra chill. Blend on high speed until smooth and fully combined.
  2. Taste and Adjust: After blending, taste the mixture. Adjust the sweetness by adding more maple syrup or dilute by adding extra cold water to achieve your preferred balance of tartness and sweetness.
  3. Strain: Pour the blended mixture through a fine sieve or nut milk bag to strain out the pulp and mint fibers, extracting a smooth, clear juice.
  4. Serve Chilled: Pour the strained juice into glasses over fresh ice cubes. Garnish with a sprig of mint if desired and serve immediately for the best refreshing experience.

Notes

  • Including the lemon and lime skin adds a bright, slightly bitter note and extra nutrients to the juice.
  • If you prefer a smoother texture, double strain the juice.
  • Orange blossom water is optional but enhances the recipe with a lovely floral aroma.
  • Adjust sweetness and dilution levels according to personal taste and the tartness of your citrus.
  • This is a natural, vegan-friendly refresher perfect for warm weather.
