A refreshing and indulgent Iced Mocha recipe combining rich espresso, cocoa, and milk served over ice, perfect for a quick coffee treat on a warm day.

Ingredients

Chocolate Espresso Mixture

  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar (or to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 2 ounces espresso or very strong coffee

Other

  • ½ cup milk (any kind will work)
  • Ice (enough to fill the glass)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chocolate Espresso Mixture: In a small bowl, combine the granulated sugar, cocoa powder, and espresso or very strong coffee. Stir thoroughly until the sugar and cocoa powder are completely dissolved with no lumps left, creating a smooth, rich chocolate coffee base.
  2. Fill Glass with Ice: Take a serving glass and fill it with enough ice cubes to your preference, ensuring the drink will be chilled and refreshing.
  3. Assemble the Iced Mocha: Pour the chocolate espresso mixture over the ice in the glass. Then slowly add ½ cup of your choice of milk over the top. Stir gently to combine the flavors evenly, and serve immediately to enjoy the cool, creamy, and chocolaty iced mocha.

Notes

  • Use freshly brewed espresso or very strong coffee for best flavor.
  • Adjust sugar according to your sweetness preference.
  • Any milk variety (dairy or plant-based) can be used to suit dietary needs or tastes.
  • For a vegan version, use plant-based milk such as almond, oat, or soy milk.
  • To enhance mocha flavor, you may add a splash of vanilla extract or a pinch of cinnamon.
