A vibrant and refreshing fruit salad featuring a mix of pineapple, berries, grapes, kiwi, and mandarin oranges tossed with a zesty lime and honey dressing. Perfect as a healthy snack, dessert, or side dish, this colorful salad comes together quickly and highlights the natural sweetness of fresh fruits.

Ingredients

Fruits

  • 4 cups fresh pineapple pieces
  • 1 pound strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 3 kiwis, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup red seedless grapes, halved
  • 1 cup green seedless grapes, halved
  • 1 pint blackberries
  • 1 pint blueberries
  • 3 mandarin oranges, peeled and segmented

Dressing

  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons honey (or to taste)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the fruits: Wash and peel the fruits as needed. Hull and slice the strawberries, peel and slice the kiwis, halve the grapes, peel and segment the mandarins, and cut the pineapple into pieces. Combine all prepared fruits in a large bowl.
  2. Make the dressing: In a small bowl, whisk together the lime juice and honey until well combined and smooth.
  3. Toss the salad: Drizzle the lime and honey mixture over the bowl of fruit. Gently toss the fruit to evenly coat it with the dressing, being careful not to mash the berries.
  4. Chill and serve: Serve the fruit salad immediately for the freshest flavor, or cover and refrigerate until ready to enjoy. The salad is best eaten within a few hours for optimal texture and taste.

Notes

  • Use fresh, ripe fruits for the best flavor and sweetness.
  • Adjust the honey quantity based on your preferred level of sweetness or substitute with maple syrup for a vegan option.
  • This salad is best enjoyed fresh but can be refrigerated for up to 24 hours.
  • For added texture, consider sprinkling some chopped nuts or seeds just before serving.
