This Easy 4-Ingredient Slow Cooker Ravioli Lasagna is a fuss-free, delicious comfort meal perfect for busy days. Featuring layers of savory ground beef, rich pasta sauce, cheesy spinach and cheese ravioli, and melty mozzarella, this recipe uses the slow cooker to create a hearty, hands-off dinner that tastes like traditional lasagna without the effort of assembling noodles.

Ingredients

Meat Sauce

  • 1 pound lean ground beef (sirloin recommended)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • Onion, to taste
  • Montreal steak seasoning, to taste
  • 25 ounces pasta sauce

Layers

  • 22 ounces ravioli (spinach & cheese recommended)
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Cook the Beef: Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and season with salt, pepper, onion, and Montreal steak seasoning. Cook while breaking the meat apart until no longer pink.
  2. Add and Simmer Sauce: Reduce the heat and pour in the pasta sauce. Let the mixture simmer for a few minutes to combine the flavors.
  3. Prepare Slow Cooker: Spray the bottom of a 6-quart slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray. Spoon about 1 cup of the meat sauce into the bottom of the slow cooker.
  4. Layer the Ingredients: Add half of the ravioli over the meat sauce, then half of the remaining sauce, followed by a handful of shredded mozzarella. Repeat the layering with the remaining ravioli, sauce, and cheese, finishing with a cheese layer on top. Make sure to tuck the ravioli under the sauce and cheese layers to ensure even cooking.
  5. Slow Cook: If using frozen ravioli, cover the slow cooker and cook on LOW for 3-4 hours. If using fresh or thawed ravioli, cook on LOW for 1-2 hours until heated through and the cheese is melted.

Notes

  • Using lean sirloin ground beef reduces excess fat and enhances flavor.
  • If you prefer, substitute pasta sauce with homemade marinara for a fresh taste.
  • You can experiment with different types of ravioli like meat-filled or cheese-filled based on preference.
  • Do not lift the slow cooker lid frequently as it will increase cooking time.
  • Leftovers can be refrigerated for 3-4 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
