This vibrant smoothie combines the natural sweetness of raspberries and banana with the smooth texture of avocado, cocoa powder, and almond milk. It's a delicious, healthy way to start your day or enjoy as a refreshing snack packed with antioxidants, fiber, and healthy fats.

Ingredients

Smoothie Base

  • 1 ½ cups ripe cubed avocado, frozen*
  • 1 ½ cups raspberries, frozen
  • 1 small banana, frozen (optional)

Liquid

  • 1 ½ cups vanilla almond milk or milk of choice

Flavor & Sweetener

  • ¼ cup cocoa powder
  • 2 large handfuls fresh spinach
  • 1 - 2 tablespoons maple syrup or sweetener of choice

Instructions

  1. Layer Ingredients in Blender: Pour 1 ¼ cups of milk into the bottom of your blender. Then add the cubed frozen avocado, frozen raspberries, fresh spinach, cocoa powder, and frozen banana if using. You can choose to add sweetener now or wait until after blending.
  2. Blend Until Smooth: Blend the mixture on high speed until completely smooth and creamy. If the smoothie is too thick, gradually add the remaining ¼ to ½ cup milk to reach your desired consistency. Taste and add more maple syrup or your preferred sweetener if the smoothie tastes tart due to the raspberries.
  3. Serve Immediately: Pour the smoothie into glasses and enjoy right away for the best flavor and texture.

Notes

  • Freezing the avocado and banana beforehand improves the creaminess and chill of the smoothie.
  • Maple syrup can be replaced with honey, agave, or any sweetener to your taste or dietary preference.
  • This smoothie is best consumed fresh but can be refrigerated for a few hours if needed; stir well before serving.
