A quick and healthy recipe for air fryer cod fillets, seasoned with paprika and garlic powder, cooked to tender perfection within 12 minutes. This dish is light, flavorful, and perfect for a nutritious meal served with fresh lemon wedges and optional parsley garnish.

Ingredients

Fish

  • 2 cod fillets (approximately 150g each)

Seasoning

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

To Serve

  • Lemon wedges
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the cod: Pat dry the cod fillets with a paper towel to remove excess moisture, ensuring better seasoning adhesion and even cooking.
  2. Season the fillets: In a small bowl, mix the olive oil with paprika and garlic powder. Brush this mixture evenly on both sides of each cod fillet. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Arrange in the air fryer: Place the seasoned cod fillets in the air fryer basket, making sure they don’t overlap to allow for proper air circulation and even cooking.
  4. Cook the cod: Air fry the cod at 200°C (390°F) for 10 to 12 minutes. Check for doneness at 10 minutes; the fish should turn opaque and flake easily when tested with a fork.
  5. Serve: Carefully remove the cod fillets from the air fryer. Serve immediately with lemon wedges and squeeze fresh lemon juice over the fish before eating.
  6. Garnish (optional): Add a sprinkle of fresh parsley on top of the fillets for an extra burst of flavor and color.

Notes

  • Cooking time may vary depending on fillet thickness; start checking doneness at 10 minutes.
  • Ensure fillets are not overcrowded in the air fryer basket for even cooking.
  • Adjust seasoning to taste, especially salt and pepper.
  • Use fresh lemon for the best flavor when serving.
  • Parsley garnish is optional but adds freshness and color.
